Femtosecond nanooptical circuits

PhD típus:
Fizikai Tudományok Doktori Iskola
Év:
2020/2021/1
Munkahely neve:
Wigner Fizikai Kutatóközpont
Munkahely címe:

Leírás:

Nanooptics is at the forefront of contemporary research. Many applications of nanooptical field enhancement at surfaces are already realized in the fields of photovoltaics and biosensors. In addition, promising results show that these nanostructures and the localized plasmons excited on them can contribute to future ultrafast optical circuits. Wigner RCP participates in a European consortium to tackle research tasks related to the realization of ultrafast nanooptical circuitry.

The task of the candidate is to design, manufacture and test nanoscale surface architectures that can serve as building blocks for nanooptical circuits. In this, a fully equipped femtosecond laser laboratory is available at Wigner RCP. Nanofabrication and imaging of the relevant structures and electromagnetic simulations of nanooptical problems will also be part of the PhD programme in addition to occasional research stays at our leading European partners.
