Leírás:

Fluorescence spectroscopy and time-resolved fluorescence are primarily research tools in biochemistry and biophysics. Their materials science application is also widespread. The goal of the PhD work is to develop time-resolved and traditional fluorescence techniques for special applications mainly in plant biology and semiconductor industry.

The first area of the application is the monitoring of agricultural products (plants and fruits). In this field the temporal evaluation of the fluorescence decay curves could be the main objective. This method will be beneficial for the better understanding of photosynthetical processes. The next area of the application is to detect low concentration water pollutants in capillary arrangement. Finally, this kind of technique could also be applied in semiconductor industry in a cooperation with industrial partner.

The results should be correlated with other relevant scientific approaches like high resolution spectroscopy, optical waveguide lightmode spectroscopy or photoconductive measurements.
