Leírás:

In recent decades, there has been significant progress in the development of ultra-high intensity lasers and their application as scientific experimental infrastructures aimed at mapping out the interactions between coherent electromagnetic fields and matter as thoroughly and comprehensively as possible. One pinnacle of this effort is the ELI project, which involves domestic participation and potentially enables experimental investigation into the interaction between atomic nuclei and intense laser fields. As a result, theoretical research into atomic nucleus-laser interactions is experiencing a renaissance today.

The subject of the current PhD thesis is to broaden the scope of the results achieved in the elementary interactions between atomic nuclei and lasers over the past 4-6 years, within the diverse world of nuclear processes. One main goal is to refine the description of spontaneous processes in atomic nuclei, such as alpha decay and spontaneous fission, taking into account the detailed characteristics of the nucleus. Another objective is the theoretical examination of the laser-induced modifications in the cross-sections of induced processes, i.e., nuclear reactions, with particular emphasis on resonant reactions involving the formation of compound nuclei.
